Scheduled Classes
JUBILATION - MINI RETREATS
What a happy explosion of color in this Block of the Month Quilt! It's a great skill-builder, where you will begin with one tool, then add 3 more tools throughout the program. If you are new to our tools, this is a great way to learn some of the basics. This quilt looks like it was set on point but it isn't - everything is assembled square. All this in a quilt that looks complex, but is easy to put together.
Each weekend will be broken into 3 sessions (months). I’ll start our time with a demonstration of the technique we’ll be using. Most month instructions require 2 each of 2 different blocks. I expect that we’ll make the first of each of the different blocks while we are together and then we’ll work on the other blocks at home. This will serve well as a review of the tools and techniques we cover each time.
Friday 6-9 and Saturday 9am-4pm - or till we are done stitching!
January 31-February 1, March 7-8, April 11-12
$230 includes instruction and use of Studio 180 Design tools.
LEMOYNE STAR BLOCK EXPLORATION & SAMPLER QUILT
We did it with the Star 60 Tool and now we are going to explore the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool.
Join me as we explore 6 variations of the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool from Studio 180 Design.
Lemoyne Stars have always been a favourite block of mine, but these units required precision cutting and sewing. The Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool make all the worry and work unnecessary. We'll learn how to cut and sew 6 variations of the block and in at least 6 different sizes while we master this fantastic tool!
Each month, we'll learn how to use the tool and make a block or 2 using a different technique and different sized blocks for some truly amazing quilt blocks!
Tuesdays, January 28, February 25, March 25, April 22, May 27, June 24.

BASICS OF LONGARM QUILTING
Does longarm quilting interest you, and you'd like to learn more about it? Or do you just want a review of longarm quilting basics? This class removes the mystery of longarm quilting by explaining machine and frame elements and features, how to load a quilit, and vital facts about thread, needles, and tension. Handi Quilter longarm machines and frame systems come in various sizes for every budget and are user-friendly because they are designed by a quilter, for quilters - just like you!
TBD
This class is usually scheduled on an "interest" basis. Give me a shout, we'll schedule something and let others know the class is running. It can be a one-on-one or a group of maximum 4 students (2 per machine).
