Dyeing your own fabric is a little addictive and a whole lot of fun!  Every piece of dyed fabric is an exciting surprise.  Even though we will work with a limited dye palette, you’ll be amazed by the variety of colours that can be produced. We’ll be spending time learning and experimenting with colour theory. After dyeing, you’ll have a much better understanding of why certain colours work well with others. Get a taste of fabric dyeing in this introductory class.

Get started  or continue the exciting process of Dyeing your own fabrics! In this class we'll focus on creating 2 colour wheels of dyed fabrics using 2 different dye colours. We'll look at some basic colour theory and after dying these 18 Fat Quarters, you'll have a better understanding of why certain colours work well with others.

We did it with the Star 60 Tool and now we are going to explore the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool.

Each month we'll get together and work on a different technique using the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool. We can make a total of 10 sizes with this tools and learn 8 different ways to use the tool! 

Each month, we'll learn how to use the tool and make a block or 2 using a different technique and (optional) different sized block for some truly amazing quilt blocks!  

Register for all 8 sessions $275 (includes technique sheets)

Register for 1 class at a time (space permitting) $40 (includes technqiue sheets)

This class is usually scheduled on an "interest" basis.  Give me a shout, we'll schedule something and let others know the class is running.  It can be a one-on-one or a group of maximum 4 students (2 per machine).


Does longarm quilting interest you, and you'd like to learn more about it? Or do you just want a review of longarm quilting basics? This class removes the mystery of longarm quilting by explaining machine and frame elements and features, how to load a quilit, and vital facts about thread, needles, and tension.
