BASICS OF LONGARM QUILTING

BASICS OF LONGARM QUILTING

Does longarm quilting interest you, and you'd like to learn more about it? Or do you just want a review of longarm quilting basics? This class removes the mystery of longarm quilting by explaining machine and frame elements and features, how to load a quilit, and vital facts about thread, needles, and tension. Handi Quilter longarm machines and frame systems come in various sizes for every budget and are user-friendly because they are designed by a quilter, for quilters - just like you!

Wednesday, January 29, 6-8:30pm

In this session we'll

  • discuss quilt preparation basics

  • load a quilt sample

  • understand stitching settings and how to use the machine

  • practice some simple free motion quilting designs

  • have a brief look at quilting from the back using paper pantographs

Quilters will then have the skills to rent the studio longarm machines or have greater confidence to work on their own longarm.

 All supplies included. $150
