I love using 60 degree cuts on rulers. They make such interesting quilt blocks. I'm going to be teaching a class on sewing these great little projects in November. We'll start by sewing strips of various sizes together and sub cutting the strip sets into triangles. Depending on how many strips you use and how you arrange the triangles, you'll get a different look every time. I went to bed on Sunday evening with great plans for my Monday! I got up early, had my coffee and put on my work uniform.....leggings, sweater and slippers and headed down to the studio to work. I've started listening to books on tape and the current one is great! I am working hard on finishing a couple of quilts that will be on display at the Fish Creek Library in November. I'm also working on class samples for my up-coming Handi Quilter Event in Ontario in early November.
I'm up bright and early on a Monday morning......WAIT, WAIT....It's Tuesday!!!!! I'm up bright and early on a Tuesday morning and have a full list of activities on my schedule for the week. This afternoon I'll be attending the Calgary Longarm Quilt Group meeting. We meet on a monthly basis and discuss and share ideas about using longarm machines. Thursday morning I'll be attending the Professional group meeting....those of us who "quilt for hire". There we discuss and share
I have a confession. I have another passion, besides quilting that it. I love to knit. I knit in the car and whenever I am sitting in front of the TV. I have been known to take my knitting with me to meetings. Knitting these projects allows me to watch TV guilt free! In the past I've knit all kinds of projects; Sweaters, mittens and gloves, hats and toys. Lately, I've found that my mind is not capable of knitting projects that require me to pay attention. So, I've limi
