Weekend Shout Out!

We can tell that autumn has set in. One day, lovely sunshine with a brisk nip in the air and the next, snow! A great time to be in my studio sewing, sewing and sewing. In the Studio I've been trying to catch up on all the quilts brought in for my August sale for longarm quilting services. I have a few bigger quilts to go and they are custom jobs, so I'll slow down a bit with my output! This week is a slow teaching week, so the studio will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for you to come rent the longarm. Please pre-book. On the Calendar Today I'm finishing a few of my Children's Sewing projects for my classes at My Sewing Room. The open house is tomorrow and I'll be there so you can com

Handi Quilter education event in Beaverlodge Alberta

I'm at Around The Block in Beaverlodge Alberta for a Handi Quilter education event. Beaverlodge is just north of Grande Prairie. We left as early as we could this morning for the drive. We had heard there were forecasts of snow and didn't want to get stuck or held up with bad roads. Hubby drove and although some bridge decks between Red Deer and Edmonton were icy, we had a good, safe drive from Calgary. So, Friday at 10am we'll start 2 full days of HQ training.

Weekend Shout Out!

The Weekend is almost here and I'm travelling, so I thought I'd give you an early Shout Out! In the Studio The Studio has been busy with both machines running on class samples, customer quilting and sew days. A reminder that the Studio will not have a full open schedule for the next few weeks. If you want to come and rent time on the longarms, or want to drop off a quilt for custom quilting, just give me a call or text (403-819-8126). If I'm here, the studio is open. On the Calendar Did you take a few minutes to look at my fall schedule I shared last week? Classes start next week at Pinheads Quilting Company in Airdrie and you can call them to register for any classes scheduled. A reminder

KidSewing Classes

I'm over the moon with excitement! I get to teach Kids to Sew, again!!!!!! When I owned Needleworks (Northmount Drive in North West Calgary), I created a Children's Sewing Program. I had very high hopes for the program with visions of marketing and selling the program all over! I think I was having too much fun with the actual teaching to do any of the publishing and marketing. When I closed Needleworks, I also stopped teaching the Kids. I've been teaching quilting classes at Pinheads Quilting Company in Airdrie for the last year and the girls (Cathy and Lori) jumped on board when I told them about my KidSew classes. We've scheduled Wee-Sew Wednesday for our classes 4-5:30pm. AND I've be

Weekend shout out!

It's not the weekend, but since I missed last weekend and I'm away this weekend, we'll consider this my shout out for this week and next week. In the Studio I've had a great response to my August sale. I will be busy quilting in the next few months! Every quilt that came in was different and although some of them are a bit daunting (size and design) I am looking forward to getting them on my frame in the next few months. Yes, I will be working on them for the next few months as I have a fair bit of travelling coming up this month and my customers aren't in any rush! Yea! I re-arranged this week. You know that feeling you get when you walk into a space and want to turn around and leave? Ye
