This quilt is made using a simple Shaded Four Patch unit and the Tucker Trimmer I too. The piecing is simple and made with rectangles and strips. These units are a great way to use up some scraps and make a fantastic quilt.

Hand Dyed Fabrics - Colour Wheel - 2 ways

This class will give students a better understanding of colour theory by dyeing a 12 step colour wheel and a simple 6 step colour wheel using different primary colours and more detailed measurements. Students will be encouraged to pair up and share their dye results.

Serger Basics

Learn how easy it is to thread your serger, get perfect tension and trouble shoot a variety of common issues.

This class is for those who have a new serger, have a serger in their closet that they haven’t used in a while or those interested in purchasing a and want to find out what sergers an do. We will have a serger or two available for rental ($25).

In this class you will learn how to thread the machine, learn how to adjust the machine to get perfect tension and play with the various stitches available on a variety of sergers.

Learn how to set up your machine, the basic mechanics of Free Motion Qulting and how to stitch the 5 basic shapes. This class is ideal for those who have never tried FMQ before, but is also a valuable refresher for those with some experience.

Beginner Sewing

This beginner class is for those who haven’t sewn before or who haven’t sewn for a long time. Students will make two sewing related projects while they learn how to use a sewing machine and sewing tools.
