EXPLORING COLOUR
Dyeing your own fabric is a little addictive and a whole lot of fun! Every piece of dyed fabric is an exciting surprise. Even though we will work with a limited dye palette, you’ll be amazed by the variety of colours that can be produced. We’ll be spending time learning and experimenting with colour theory. After dyeing, you’ll have a much better understanding of why certain colours work well with others. Get a taste of fabric dyeing in this introductory class.

SMOOTH JAZZ
This quilt can be made in 3 sizes using your choice of a variety of back ground fabrics or one and Fat Quarters. This is a simple, but unique take on the Lemoyne Star block. You'll need the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star and the Tucker Trimmer III tools for this project.

STUDIO 180 DESIGN STUDIO SEW DAYS - FEBRUARY
I've scheduled one Friday each month in the studio to work on Studio 180 Design tools. Each month I'll be focusing on a specific tool in the Studio 180 Design series as well as the instruction sheet, technique sheets and patterns. If you want to join me, all you need to do is have a plan to work with the monthly tool. You can join me and I'll give you instructions as necessary.
Although the registration time is 9am-9pm, you can come when you want and stay as long as you want for 1 low price of $30. Leave a note in the message section when you plan to arrive and how long you hope to stay.

CHARITY SEW DAYS AT BOW BENCH RETREAT - FEBRUARY
We had a blast in the Fall sewing blocks for a quilt for Everyday Heros using Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design Corner Pop tool. Nancy and I have decided to continue in 2023 with monthly sew days to make quilts and to learn how to use the different tools. We haven't decided on the tools we'll use yet but will share when we've decided. Let us know if there is a specific tool you'd like to learn to use. I'll have extra tools on hand to use in class.

FREE MOTION QUILTING - LET'S GET STARTED
Spend the morning learning the basics of 5 shapes that make up all FMQ designs and the foundation for all future FMQ. We’ll cover the basic mechanics of FMQ, and how to stitch the 5 basic shapes. We’ll then take what we’ve learned and put these shapes together into a variety of unique quilting motifs. We’ll spend the rest of the day working on your small quilting project and put into practice what you learned in the morning.
- How to prepare and layer your quilt
- How to set up your machine for Free Motion Quilting
- How to draw and stitch the 5 basic shapes
- How to combine the shapes into a variety of different quilting motifs
- Work on a small quilt (table runner or baby size) to practice what you’ve learned
