Wow! I had too much fun last week with the Kids Are Sewing Camps at My Sewing Room. Let me share a bit about what we did.
In the morning we had a bag camp and in the afternoon, we had a quilt camp. My Sewing Room generously agreed to run the class even though we only had 2 quilters registered. I am so glad they did! We had a great week!
The quilters chose from 3 different pre-cut kits to sew Disappearing 9-Patch Quilts.
Once all the blocks were sewn, we arranged them and sewed the blocks into the quilt top.
We were given a treat and allowed to use the Handi Quilter Forte Longarm and Pro-Stitcher Premium to quilt these beautiful babies!
Finally, we machined stitched the binding in place around the outside edge of the quilt.
Didn't they do an amazing job!!!!!
The next Kids Are Sewing Camps at My Sewing Room is a Quilt Camp on July 29-August 2 at 10am. There is also a Kids Are Sewing Camp on August 12-16. 2 class times to choose from and the kids can choose their own projects.
Check out Part 1 of this great creative week!
