Free Motion Quilting - Lets Get Started! Bow Bench Retreat

In this full day class of quilting, we'll learn the basics and give lots of time for practice. Learn the basics of 5 shapes that make up all FMQ designs and the foundation for all future FMQ. Learn how to set up your machine, the basic mechanics of FMQ, and how to stitch the 5 basic shapes.  This class is ideal for those who have never tried FMQ before, but is also a valuable refresher for those have some experience.

Feathers that Fit Handi Quilter Virtual Event at The Quilting Connection, Elkhorn WI

Feathers are always a winner when it comes to quilting designs. In this workshop, we'll look at different techniques and designs to fit free motion feathers into defined spaces.

Free Motion Quilting - Moving On! Bow Bench Retreat

If you joined me for the Let’s Get Started class or have some Free Motion Quilting experience and want to grow as a quilter, today is the day!  We are going to spend the day learning how to use the piecing in your quilt to space your designs and how to quilt a tear drop feather. Again, time will be left for you to work on a small quilting project to learn how to manage your quilt and put into practice what you’ve learned.

A Ghost on the Quilt? Handi Quilter Virtual Event at Sew Orchid Design, Norway ME.

It's all about quilting "negative" space on your quilt. We'll explore how to fill the space with embedded designs, easy marking techniques and balancing shape, size and density to provide movement and order on your next modern quilting project.

Studio180 Design, Wedge Star at Never Done Quilting

The Wedge Star tool from Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design can be the basis for many blocks and different quilts. In this class we will learn to make the Wedge Block while learning a lot of great tips and tricks for using Deb’s tools and sewing the many bias edges. Students will learn how to keep the bias edges from stretching, how to prevent the “mountain” that often appears in the centre of the block and how to SPIT!

this workshop walks you throught the steps of marking your quilt top successfully. You'll get lots of tips and tricks on how to find the perfecft design and be able to transfer it to your quilt top at the proper scale and with the tools that are just right for your project.
