Too Much Fun!!!! and now we're done! - Part 4

What an amazing summer I've had. Let me tell you about my last Kids Camp. Today I'm sharing about the quilt camp at My Sewing Room this past week.

A big thank you goes out to Dawn at My Sewing Room for cutting the kits for us. The fabric choices were fantastic!

We started by organizing our 9 different fabrics into a pleasing arrangement and then sewed into a giant 9-patch block. Once sewn, we cut, rotated and re-sewed the block.

Once all the blocks were sewn, they were trimmed and sewn into the quilts. The girls helped each other to pin baste the quilts together. And the machine quilting commenced!

Friday morning we worked like made to trim the quilts and sew the binding on. Again, the binding is all machine stitched. The girls did an amazing job!!!!!

The girls went shopping on day 2 and chose the fabrics for their backings and binding. They are all so very different! Check out the quilt fronts and backs.

Miss A. chose the blue kit with Minnie Mouse backing and "meow" binding.

Miss H's bright fabrics were perfect with her choice of large print animals and a pretty floral binding.

Miss A's choice of kit was purple, purple and more purple.

Miss K. chose the soft kitty fabric with a beautiful bird print for backing and butterflies for binding.

And finally, Miss S's bright quilt was backed with an equally bright backing and beautiful binding.

We're at the end of a great summer of Kids Quilting Classes. It think it was a good summer!
