Welcome to the Handi Quilter Family! I am thrilled to be able to help you get to know your new best friend!!!! I am a Handi Quilter National Educator and I teach new owners virtually. We have 3 hours available for each machine purchase and I usually book 1.5-2 hours to start. Here is what I usually cover, but we can adjust as needed. I like to start with some basic information and give you some "homework" before our next session. The homework usually generates questions that we'll answer in our 2nd session. - Fabric Preparation - some tips and tricks for getting your fabric ready for loading - Loading the quilt layers - Machine Basics and frame overview - what buttons do, etc - Thread, Needles and Tension - Basic Free Motion Quilting I do the sessions using zoom. You don't need an account. When I send you the invite, simply click on the highlighted link. Make sure you can see me and hear me. It really helps if I can see and hear you too! You don't need to have anything set up on your frame, but having your machine on so you can play with some screen buttons will be beneficial. Many students will set up their computer on a table near their frame so they can see things easily. To register, select a day and time that works for you. You will receive a link to the zoom session.
