This beginner class is for those who haven’t sewn before or who haven’t sewn for a long time. Students will make two sewing related projects while they 

• learn how to use a sewing machine and sewing tools. 

• Learn the parts of the sewing machine and the tools needed to complete most projects. 

• Learn to thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin. 

• Learn how to select machine stitch pattern. 

• Learn how to adjust tension, stitch length and width.  

• Learn to read a sewing pattern. Learn to lay out and cut out fabric according to pattern instructions. 

• Learn to sew straight seams. Learn how to sew a buttonhole and hand sew a button in place.
