SHADED FOUR PATCH
Strips and Rectangles magically transform into Triangles in this simple block. It looks challenging, but is really quite simple.
This quilt is made using a Shaded Four Patch unit and the Tucker Trimmer I tool from Studio 180 Design. In this class, we'll learn how to use the Tucker Trimmer to trim these blocks. This quilt is a great introduction to Studio 180 Design tools.
It's a great way to use up some scraps or even use some yardage to make a fantastic quilt.

Tools
Studio 180 Design Tucker Trimmer I or III (if you don't have the rulers, there will be some available for you to use in class)*

Rotary cutter with fresh blade
Rotary cutting mat

Fabric: this project can be made with yardage or fat quarters of fabric. The quilts measure 48" x 64" and the runners 48" x 16". You can always make your quilt larger, but you will need more fabric.
We'll be working with 8" blocks that will sew up nicely and make this a quick project.
This project can make use of a variety of fabrics in different values. You'll need some medium/dark value for the large triangle and contrast squares and some light/medium for the small triangles.
Choose from the yardage or fat quarter listing below. You might also consider purchasing a scrappy fabric kit $50
Don't forget you'll need some fabric for binding.
Choose either yardage or Fat Quarters or ask about purchasing a scrappy fabric kit.
Yardage:
Light - 1 (0.30) meter light/medium value
Dark - 2.25 (0.75) meters dark/medium value
