Summer Sew Days

Bring your own project to sew:

You are welcome to bring a project or two to work on during our Sew Days.  You'll have lots of room to spread out.  I'll supply a table and chair for everyone to sew and work on, extension cords, irons and ironing board.  I'll also supply tea and coffee.  Bring a lunch or take a break and walk across the street to Tim Horton's if you prefer.

  • you'll need your sewing machine, a basic sewing kit and rotary cutting tools.

  • a coffee/tea cup would be great.

  • a chair if you prefer to use your own

  • your project supplies and fabrics

Learn to use Studio 180 Design tool:

If you prefer to take some time to  learn a new skill, these weekends are for you.  Each month, I'll be teaching a different tool from Studio 180 Design.  You will need:

  • your sewing machine, a basic sewing kit, and rotary cutting tools

  • the tool (I have some available for  purchase).  I'll also have 1 or 2 tools available for you  to use in class but be aware you'll be sharing and may have to wait to use the tool.  If you'd like to purchase the tool, please let me know and I'll have one ready for you.

  • the tool instructions (there are instructions that come with the tool and downloadable PDFs from www.studio180design.net)

  • fabric: I recommend you start with a meter each of 2-4 different fabrics.  I like to starch my fabrics before cutting as many of the unit edges are cut on the bias.

    • Rapid Fire Hunter Star can be done with 2 fabrics

    • Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star can be done with 2 fabrics

    • Wedge Star can be done with 2-3 fabrics.

Register below by selecting your option (Friday only, Saturday only, Friday and Saturday or Studio 180 Design class)
