Neighbourhood Quilt Show - #7

This is the 7th edition of the Neighbourhood Quilt Show. Can't believe I have this many quilts. Even though the pile on my 8 foot banquet table is getting lower, I still have lots of quilts. I'm working through and trying to decide which quilts to display, depending on the weather. So, rainy day quilts are ones that won't be hurt by getting wet. Here are this week's quilts. If you want to follow me on social media, check out my instagram page or my business facebook page. Feel free to come for a drive and see them in real life, or just enjoy them here. As each day progresses, I think about which quilt will be next. I am enjoying visiting quilts made a while ago and kept in storage. Feel f

A wet tropical fruit cocktail!!!

Each morning as I hang a quilt out for the #neigbourhoodquiltshow, I check the sky and wonder what the day will be like. Hubby is convinced that if the weather report on TV says rain, it will be a sunny day! Today's quilt is Tropical Fruit Cocktail. This was part of the group submission at the 2017 Heritage Park Festival of Quilts. Many of the members of the Calgary Longarm Group took a class using Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Designs Rapid Fire Hunter Star tool. I'm now a certified instructor for the Studio 180 Designs tools. Well, this quilt is hanging outside today. This afternoon the sky turned black and the rains came. By the time I realized it was raining, the quilt was soaked. I love how

Stars & Swirls Summer 2020 Quilt Along - introduction

Welcome to the most unusual summer of our lives! Join me on a fantastic (a little self promotion) summer quilt along! We are going to each make a quilt (in your choice of 4 different sizes) in the I-sew-lation of our own sewing rooms. This is a pattern I've just finished designing and my good friend Brenda gave it the name. There are only 2 blocks in this quilt in addition to some setting triangles and a border. So it is quite straight forward and fairly easy to sew. We'll be using the Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs rulers and I'll have some for sale. If you would like to purchase them, please contact me directly. I don't have them for sale yet on the website. Large Square Squared $79

Neighbourhood Quilt Show - #5

Because I've been hanging a quilt outside in my front yard every day for my neighbours to see I'm getting a chance to see what I have and start making a database of my quilts and how I could use them in classes. Here are the quilts I showed last week. If you want to follow me on social media, check out my instagram page or my business facebook page. Feel free to come for a drive and see them in real life, or just enjoy them here. As each day progresses, I think about which quilt will be next. I am enjoying visiting quilts made a while ago and kept in storage. Feel free to share your quilts!

Neighbourhood Quilt Show - #4

I've been hanging a quilt outside in my front yard every day for my neighbours to see and hopefully admire! It also serves to air them out and let me see what I've got in my huge pile of quilts. Its been fun to put these quilts on display. Enjoy my small effort to bright our days. And if you decide to share your quilts as well, let us all kno
