Weekend shout out!
Wow, am I going to be busy this fall! I've spent the afternoon creating a calendar of events for me. I needed to see everything in one place and am glad I have as I've found a couple of scheduling conflicts. I'm going to leave them as they are till the conflicts are corrected.
We are at the end of August and I've got 3 travel trips in the next 4 weeks! Whew! I'm tired just thinking about them, but hubby is going to help me out by doing most of the driving. We are up to Edmonton tomorrow morning (very early) for an all day private Handi Quilter lesson. Lucky ladies to have me to themselves for the day!

I was thrilled to be asked to quilt Sharon's Mariner's Compass from Quiltworx. When I was asked to quilt my first Quiltworx quilt, I was very intimidated. Now I love them!!!! and can't wait till I get another one in.
I've taken some time to prep for some classes at Creative Festival in Edmonton and Calgary. We'll be couching and stitching with metallic threads! If you are interested in taking classes at Creative stitches, contact My Sewing Room in Calgary and Central Sewing Machines in Edmonton.
On the Calendar
SEW DAY this week is a full day Tuesday, 9am-9pm. It's only $15 to join us, but I do need to know you are coming so I can set up for you.
Fall Classes
I've posted details about fall classes on the website this weekend. I'm excited about some of these classes. I hope you are too.
Children's Sewing Classes. We've got the Wee Sew Wednesdays booked at Pinheads for the fall. My Sewing Room has also expressed interest in these classes. I am meeting this week to schedule. I am so excited about these classes and can't wait to get started.
