August Summer Sew Days are next weekend

It's time for the last Summer Sew Days! of 2026.

Friday and Saturday, August 14 & 15

We have 2 options

Option 1:   Open Sew Days -  Bring your own project to work on in the cool lower hall.  I'll be around to help if you need or just come and sew with friends or make new friends!

a sampling of Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star variations

We are going to explore some of the ways to use the Wedge Star tool from Studio 180 Design. We can make a Wedge Block or turn the unit into a Star Block with a few simple changes. It really is fascinating what we can do with this tool.

We'll start Friday morning with an overview and demonstrations of the Wedge Star tool and then get right to cutting and sewing.  We'll have 2 days for you to work more blocks the same, more blocks different sizes or more blocks using the Technique sheets.

I'll have a few Wedge Star tools available for you to use during class time ... a try before you buy.  I'll also have some tools available for sale.

You are welcome to bring a pattern and I'll help you work on it.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me before you register.  Once you have registered, I'll be in touch to make sure you have all the supplies you need including the fabric requirements for the size of quilt you plan to make and which tool you'll use/need to purchase.

Don't forget, you can always come and just sew on your own project if you are not interested in the class.

Whatever you do this Summer, make it a great one.

 I'll see you next weekend.

Happy Quilting,

Allison

The Summer Sew Days look like a great opportunity for quilters to work on projects, learn new techniques, and connect with fellow sewing enthusiasts. Custom details can also add character to handmade projects, and Irish custom embroidered patches could be an interesting way to personalise quilts, bags, jackets, or other fabric creations.
