August News, Pattern Release and Newsletter Subscription
August! Where is the summer going? We've been busy on the home front. Actually, the "away from home" front. We have scheduled monthly camping trips and each time we've added some knowledge and skills in using our trailer. We've learned to back up properly and we've finally filled our water tank and correctly dumped the grey and black tanks. Yeah Us!!!
AUGUST SUMMER SEW DAYS are next month. If you haven't joined me yet for a few days of quilting/sewing/crafting, please consider the weekend of
Friday & Saturday, August 14 & 15.
There are 2 ways to join
One is to come for a day or two and do your own thing. We'll have a table for everyone with lots of room to spread out. Plenty of floor space to arrange and nice cool room to work in.
The other is to join me in a class using the Studio 180 Design tool - Wedge Star. This is another tool that makes some fantastic blocks in a wide range of variations and 22 different sizes. We'll work on a basic block and then you can explore (with guidance) some of the variations or work on a quilt using the basic block.

I wrote a series of table runner patterns in 2007 when I owned Needleworks Fabrics and Classes. I've wanted to update the patterns and re-release some of them. Lindsey's Garden Table Runner (formerly Sunflower Table Runner) is the first updated pattern. Download the pattern, review/sew it up and send me a review. Anyone who does send in their review will receive a "non-draft" copy of the pattern as my thanks.
LONGARM QUILTING: I've been working my way through customer quilts and my own on my longarm. I'm excited to report that I have 2 more customer quilts, then I can concentrate on some of my own. I'll still take in your quilts for quilting but really need to empty at least of my tubs of my own quilts. I'll add yours to the list and get them done as soon as I can.
