Two Classes in One!
I've spent the last few days working on quilt samples for 2 classes at once! Yep! I'm pretty smart! Not really, but making these little quilts for my Tucker Trimmer 22 classes reminded me that I have a Border class for Handi Quilter.
I've decided to spend Wednesday evenings this summer presenting some Studio 180 Design classes. They will be informal Zoom and optional in-person classes from 6:30-8pm (MST). We are going to look at all of the units and blocks that we can make with the Tucker Trimmer tool.
We'll start on Wednesday, July 13 for Tucker Trimmer Basics. Each tool comes with a instruction sheet giving you the basic instructions for one or more units or blocks. The best thing about these tools is that they are all multi-sized. So, we can make any of these units in any size we want! The instruction sheet for the Tucker Trimmer gives us the basic Half Square Triangle Units (HST), the Quarter Square Triangle Units (QST) and the Combo Units or a Half Quarter Square Triangle Unit.
We'll also be looking at some of the Technique Sheets that Deb has prepared to companion these tools. The Eight At Once Half Square Triangle Technique Sheet shows us how to quickly and efficiently make 8 HST units!
These samples are also going to be used in my Handi Quilter Border Magic class offered at Fox Country Quilting on Saturday. We'll be talking about how to create some fantastic borders and tips for easy marking and stitching.
These samples were all quilted on my Handi Quilter Capri. Just to show I'm not only a longarmer, I also quilt on stationary machines.
Well, I'm off to piece and quilt some more class samples. Contact me directly if you are interested in any classes.
Happy Quilting.
